Eligibility criteria
- Bride must be 18 years and above
- Groom must be 21 years and above
- Hindu arranged marriages only — both families must consent
- Inter-caste marriages are permitted with parents' acceptance
- Both mothers (bride's and groom's) must be present at the ceremony
- Love marriages without family acceptance are not permitted
- Second marriages and divorced marriages are not permitted
- Inter-religious marriages are not permitted

Marriage rules and regulations
Important rules — read before booking
- Marriage timing: Ceremonies permitted between 4:30 AM to 6:00 PM only.
- Hall allotment: Hall is allotted for 23–24 hours (typically 3:00 PM to 3:00 PM next day).
- Mothers' presence: Both mothers must be physically present. Hall allotment will not be granted without both mothers.
- No love marriages, second marriages, or inter-religious marriages.
- Receipt after ceremony: Issued by the hall manager. Use for marriage registration at your home district registrar — registration is NOT done at Dharmasthala.
- Photography: Permitted inside the hall. Bring your own photographer.
